Glenworth Valley is a privately owned parcel of land an hour north of the Sydney CBD, in New South Wales. Synergy Trails are currently finalising the details on a leasehold agreement on 650 acres of the land for the construction and operation of Glenworth Valley Bike Park. Unique to Glenworth Valley, the arrival experience is at the top of the run, not the base, like all ski resort based parks. Only here will you be able to walk your bike in, gear up and go. The park will consist of 120km of trails serviced by chairlift, associated accommodation and hospitality facilities, and world standard event infrastructure.
The site is uniquelysuited to support Synergy ’s vision:
• Part rocky bushland and part cleared, the park site has a
distinctly Australian bush character. This is fundamental
to Glenworth Valley Bike Park’s international identity.
• The site has around 200m (or 600 feet) of elevation.
• The site is on the fringe of the Sydney metropolitan
area, with a population of over 5 million. Access by both
public and private transport is readily available, and the
nearby Central Coast community offers an abundance of
accommodation and allied business opportunities.
• The heart of the site is a 20 acre partially cleared and
gently sloping area we call mid station. This natural
amphitheatre is perfectly suited to hosting events such as
Crankworx.
Cross country, gravity, enduro, jump lines and flow trails
catering for all styles and levels of rider skill have already
been walked, mapped and designed by Synergy Trails.
Access to these trails will be provided by the first dedicated
MTB chairlift in Australia.
Aside from this unparalleled trial network, the park
vision acknowledges that the social aspect of this sport is
fundamental to the success of the park, so healthy food
and beverage outlets will be available on site to fuel riders
during the day.
The master plan vision also includes the construction of
accommodation on site for up to 250 people. Ranging from
5 star responsible luxury suites to structured permanent
campsites, all park users will have the opportunity to extend
their stay on site beyond a single day.
The park master plan is approaching completion in
anticipation of lodgement with Central Coast Council later
this year.
