Company Background
Since 2012 when NSW National Parks amended their plans of management (PoM) to allow for mountain biking (MTB), Synergy Trails where chosen to be the first official Trail Builders to implement the pre-pilot programme for Parks.
In 2014, Glenbrook National Park; located in the Blue Mountains, was to have the first purpose-built MTB trial using sustainable trail building techniques developed by IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association).
To date, the trail is performing beyond expectation and requires maintenance only once a year. Synergy Trails are looking forward to placing a further 10+ km’s within the national park, as well as designing and assisting the implementation of the pilot programme of Bantry Bay trails in 2015 located near Sydney’s Northern Beaches within the Garigal National Park.
Synergy Trails have been engaged by Blue Mountains City Council since 2014 and are assisting them in their development of local MTB and walking trails. As well as with the development of the Eastern Escarpment Master Planning, of which includes Downhill and Cross-country trail networks within Knapsack Reserve, located on the other side of Glenbrook township from the Glenbrook National Park.
At Synergy Trails, we hold great pride in knowing we are the ‘Number 1 Sustainable Trail Builders in Australia’. We are constantly building beyond the IMBA guidelines and moving trails further forward in all areas of NSW. As we have evolved from an advocacy background, we continue to assist local clubs with their needs, to gain more trails to meet their community needs and networks.
